As part of our SEL School Focus, Ferris has identified authentic parent partnership as an essential goal. In 2020/21, Ferris has hosted two parent SEL sessions with Connie Easton, the District Coordinator for Mental Health, SEL and Counselling. The second session was held in June and focused on Ferris' School Story, examples of SEL in Action at Ferris and SEL at home. Our goal is to continue this dialogue with parents in the coming years to build a common understanding of the importance of SEL and the best ways to support our students.
