Red Dress Day, observed annually on May 5th, is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S), a day to remember and honour those lost and raise awareness about the crisis of violence against Indigenous women and girls.
