Dress for the Rainy Weather
Fresh Air and Outside Time:
Please help us ensure that our students are dressed for the rainy weather so they can be outside without getting soaked through. For younger children rain boots are a must. This allows them some puddle time without getting wet feet. If jackets are not water proof a small umbrella is a good idea--but a waterproof jacket (not a cloth jacket) is best. Many of the children with waterproof jackets (with a hood) and boots are able to play in the weather and have fun--as it's generally not too cold--just wet.
Older students may use an umbrella, and use their good judgment about where they are stepping!
If there was ever an earthquake and we had to be outdoors for an extended period of time--those students dressed for the weather would be at a distinct advantage. During outside times, we want all of our children to be able to go outside.
Thanks you your help.
